The Letters of the Word was created by a small, passionate team of believers who wanted to design a Christian board game that was both meaningful and genuinely fun to play. Led by the founders of Tom G 1820, the creators combined their love for Scripture, strategy games, and early‑church history to build an experience families could enjoy together. Their goal was simple: make a game that brings people around the table, sparks conversation, and celebrates the beauty of God’s Word in a fresh, interactive way.
Joel started The Letters of the Word with a simple but powerful idea: create a Christian board game that didn’t rely on trivia, but on strategy, adventure, and the beauty of Scripture. What began as a small sketch on paper quickly grew into a full map, a world, and a mission. Joel wanted families to experience the excitement of gathering the early Letters of the Bible while learning, laughing, and competing together. His passion for faith, creativity, and meaningful gameplay became the foundation of the entire project, inspiring the team that eventually brought the game to life.
